Riverside County
Declaration of Homestead
— $495 Flat Fee

I recently became involved in a matter in which a homeowner's position could have been materially different had a Declaration of Homestead been recorded before the problem arose. After seeing the issue play out in an actual case, I immediately recorded one for my own home and decided to make this service available to my clients and the public.

California already provides certain automatic homestead protections. A separately recorded Declaration of Homestead may provide important additional protection, particularly if a judgment is later recorded or the homeowner voluntarily sells the property and needs to protect qualifying sale proceeds.
